Our programs include:
- Spay/Neuter Clinic – average about 700 surgeries per month.
- Low-Cost Wellness/Sick Clinic – vaccines, wellness, basic illnesses – average
about 900 pets per month - Pet Retention Program (PRP) – This program is a partnership between Animal
Control and PAAC. Officers contact us if a customer is in violation of ordinances
but does not have the access to care resources to get into compliance. We will
then spay/neuter for free, give a free rabies, free dog houses, free trolley systems,
free medical care, and anything else we can possibly do to help keep pets with
their owners. - Public TNR – These are cats that are under our FREE TNR spay/neuter program and
have a caretaker. They are exempt from some city ordinances after they are
approved caretakers. They MUST bring cats in separate boxes, carriers, traps, etc. - Pets For Life (PFL)- Pets for Life is a program of The Humane Society of the United
States (HSUS) to prevent shelter overpopulation, reduce animal suffering, and
promote veterinary care. It improves the lives of not just animals, but the people
who care for them in under-served communities. PAAC has been chosen as a new
PFL mentorship group to receive financial support and guidance from the national
PFL team. Our proactive door-to-door outreach efforts focus in areas of Corpus
Christi where 40% of the residents live below the poverty line or under-served
communities. Our goal is to maintain a trusting ongoing relationship with people.
We are building long term relationships based upon inclusivity, diversity,
understanding, non-judgement and a focus on the human-animal bond. - ‘PAAC Giving Back’ initiative for the homeless. PAAC offers medical services such as annual vaccinations, surgeries, and food for pets that may be living on the streets alongside their owners.
Thank you for your support!
