Your support means so much to us.

Would you believe that we need over 131,000 spays and neuters in The City of Corpus Christi to end the stray pet overpopulation?

Did you know that in only the last four months, over 900 dogs and cats were euthanized in our local animal control facility? Please read this letter and see how you can help us save lives. The residents in our city need help. Many do not have the resources to spay and neuter their pets.

We recently held an event for pet sterilization and people were lining up at 6:00 a.m. to ensure they got the voucher for their free spay/neuter. One elderly man in particular pulled at our hearts. He lives in the neighborhood we are helping and does not have a car. He brought his dogs one by one in a shopping cart so he could get them vaccinated and scheduled for surgery.

Here is one of his dogs Samson, in the shopping cart. Samson and his dad waited in line for hours for a rabies shot and then he went back home, getting another dog using the shopping cart. This man truly needs help. Since he does not have a car, we used the Neuter Commuter van to pick up his dogs on the day of their scheduled surgery. When we went to pick up his dogs, we could see the genuine emotion and gratitude in his eyes. He is one example of the many people in our city that need help. They love their animals and want to the do the right thing but do not have the resources. The answer is NOT to take these pets away from them, but to HELP them keep their pets by vaccinating and sterilizing them so they do not add to the pet overpopulation or end up in the city pound. Additionally, due to the generosity of a donor, we were able to provide him and others with collars, leashes, dog beds, and food for their pets.

Spaying and neutering animals in our city will lessen the intake of unwanted pets at animal control and reduce the euthanasia rate. You can be part of this solution and help us reach our 5 year goal of 131,000 spays and neuters. 100% of your donation will be used towards community spaying and neutering.

Your support means so much to us.

Any amount is greatly appreciated! Online donations can be made at www.cpaac.org/donations or a check can be mailed to 5804 Ayers St. Corpus Christi, TX 78415
